Upon, our recent trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, my boyfriend and I found ourselves overwhelmed by the beauty of it all. We had no idea how we were going to see everything, at least not without getting completely lost. I booked our tour with Hanoi Cyclo Tours and I have never had so much fun in my life. Not only were we able to relax and take pictures, but the driver pointed out several historic sites to me. We knew exactly which museums to see after the tour and got recommendations for local food places.
My driver, Mr. Trong, maneuvered around the city while I got to see how people live in the city. We saw several markets and visited the old quarter. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I was amazed by how friendly everyone there is. I felt as if these people I had just met were long time friends. My boyfriend loved that the food was delicious. He was a little cautious about trying the local food, but one bite changed his mind.
It was amazing how great the prices were. We each took the eight hour tour and got to eat amazing local cuisine and it barely made a debt in our travel budget. We stopped so I could shop. I would have never guessed that such treasures existed in those little shops. They accommodate every need be it bath room breaks, getting a closer look at one of the historic sites, shopping, eating, you name it, they take care of you like you are a celebrity.
My absolute favorite part had to be the temples though; you can literally feel the energy and an overwhelming sense of inner peace simply by being in their presence. I couldn’t get enough; with as nice as our hotel was, I still never wanted the tour to be over. We wre able to completely immerse ourselves in Vietnamese culture.
Hanoi is such an amazing city. When I go back, and believe me I will be back, I will be sure to use http://www.hanoicyclotours.com/. I was very happy with my driver and tour guide. I recommend asking for Mr. Trong and Miss Quinh , if you do, you won’t regret it, you will be in amazingly capable hands. They give each person a personalized experience that is truly unforgettable.
We’ve been back for several days, but I still feel as if my very soul has been touched by the beauty of the land, the people, the culture, everything. I will never forget this experience for as long as I live.

Visiting Vietnam has never been this fun and exciting, thanks to Hanoi Cyclo Tours. Their services certainly made the tour of Hanoi so interesting and very enjoyable.

The cyclo trip was definitely worth the adventure with Mr. Chong our cyclo driver providing us with the best route of the many scenic locations plus our tour guide Miss Thuy who provided us with many interesting facts about Hanoi and all of its beautiful sites.

Just for 15 dollars each, our group was able to enjoy the many sites and sounds found in the many entertaining streets at Hanoi. Truly one of the best means of transportation, this bicycle taxi serves as your fabulous ride, with the exception of having the front seat with your driver behind you.

Truly a very interesting and unique way to travel Hanoi, the cyclo is one of the best options you can use to move around the city especially if walking is not an option for you and your friends.

Hanoi Cyclo Tours is an experience that is budget worthy plus gives you a view that is worth every photo, with many historic venues with the city’s many temples and museums.

So when you have the chance to visit Hanoi do not miss the chance to ride on this famous cyclo and experience a unique travel ride.

My family and I went to Hanoi early this spring, and it was great. On the 3rd day, my father found Hanoi Cyclo tours. If you’ve never seen a cyclo before, it’s basically a tricycle with a chair for a passenger on the front. Sort of like a modern day rickshaw.

Since we were tired of walking, we decided to take a gamble on this, and it paid off! Over the course of 3 hours, I relaxed as Mr. Hung, my cyclo driver, drove around the city. The Old Quarter is an amazing location, and being on the cyclo is a great way to experience it. When we were walking, our senses were dulled by the fact that we were hot and tired, but on the cyclo we could sit back and relax as the sensations of the city washed over us.

Miss Hien, our tour guide, spoke great English and was really knowledgeable about the Old Quarter, and Hanoi in general. I learned a lot of interesting history about the city, and saw some of the same places my dad saw when he fought in the Vietnam War. It was great to be able to do this and share it with him.

After the tour was over, we felt refreshed and ready to resume walking. The experience was no fuss, and very welcoming. It was also very inexpensive for what you get out of it. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who’s visiting Hanoi.

Hanoi Cyclo Tours is a perfect way to experience Hanoi's Old Quarter. I generally prefer to check out and explore new cities on foot, but felt a cyclo tour would be a good way to get more familiar with the city. It would also free me up to take pictures.

I booked the 2 hour sightseeing tour and could not be more thrilled with the results. I was able to relax, take photos, and enjoy the tour. My driver, Mr. Hung, showed up on time and ready to go. He was in a pleasant mood and ready to go the distance to make sure we had a good time. Our tour guide, Miss Hoai was knowledgeable and made it her pleasure to make sure we had all the interesting information on our destinations. She did not mind answering questions. We were shown many of the popular sites as well as a few destinations that were off the beaten path. The tour was a great value and the perfect prelude to exploring the city on foot.

Overall, I would recommend Hanoi Cyclo tours to my friends and family and if I'm ever in Hanoi again, I would not hesitate to use them again.

Mr. Hung showed me the most exotic, memorable and beautiful places that I couldn’t depart without any photos to remember the city of and so the guide allowed me to. The old temples complement the tour giving it some taste of the historical side of the town my cyclo driver guide Mr. Hung was the best guide as he taught me a lot on the lost history of the town and the country as a whole. This was the most naturally beautiful and welcoming place I have been to. See you guys in September again

A beautiful Capital city of Vietnam is Hanoi. I got a chance to see this beautiful city with its remarkable architectural buildings and its lively environment. My guide, Miss Thao showed me all the historical places and museums and its lovely lush Parks. I got the chance to travel the city by a Cyclo. Many tourists prefer to explore the city by foot, but Cyclo is a whole new and fun way to adventure and exploration and it makes it easy for sightseeing and taking pictures. My Cyclo driver was Mr Hung, who knew little English and was willing to tell the interesting past stories about Hanoi. You will find cyclos on every street. There are beautiful streets named after the products made and sold there. Some of it’s most famous places that I visited were Ho Chi Minh museum, Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple and St. Joseph’s Cathedrals, which i would recommend to all the tourists. They have every kind of facility and service for the tourists with comfortable environments like hotels, clubs, pools, gyms and markets which made my stay more. The food and cuisine are the best of this place with a lot of variety and special dishes from around the world and have a large influence of French traditions on it. Their collection of pastries and sweets are one of the most delicious and satisfy all the sweet tooth. The people of the Hanoi are friendly and welcoming and try help the tourists even if they don’t know the language. It is a beautiful tourist site, filled with charm beauty and activity. It is filled with its deep culture and tradition and even after lots of developments seen over the years it hasn’t lost its identity and personality. Ever tourist must visit it once and they will get the experience of their life time and will surely want to visit again.

This was my first time travelling to Vietnam, so I was very excited and quite curious to what I would find. I decided to book my trip with http://www.hanoicyclotours.com, because of their vast knowledge of the area and wonderful cyclo (bicycle taxi) tour packages. After arriving in the lively city to Hanoi my excitement and curiosity quickly turned into joyful anticipation. From the moment I stepped off the plane I was greeted by my fabulous tour guide Miss Thao. She explained to me in perfect English and in great detail about my scheduled itinerary; as well as answered any questions or concerns that I had.

It started out with a one-hour cyclo tour of the Old Quarter. My driver Mr. Hung took excellent care of me as he expertly manoeuvred the cyclo throughout the bustling streets. I was amazed by the vast and rich history of the roads and buildings that I was surrounded by. From the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the Hanoi Citadel, to the Opera House: there was so much learn, explore and enjoy.

My two-hour cyclo tour gave me the opportunity to experience Hanoi’s daily life up-close and personal; while taking numerous photos of the busy marketplaces. There was a plethora of fresh foods, rich, vibrant colors and a variety of goods to take in. The sights and smells were amazing, and the people were very friendly and accommodating! Mr. Hung was also gracious in allowing me stop for a minute to purchase a couple of awesome bamboo souvenirs, and a few sugar treats.

I never once felt alone or out of place during my entire trip. Instead I was warmly embraced by the entire community, and safely guided by Hanoi Tours. Therefore I highly recommend http://www.hanoicyclotours.com for anyone who is looking for a once in a life time experience; as well as fast, friendly and professional service.

We were on Holidays for a week in Hanoi and one of the staff at the hotel front desk recommended that doing a cyclo tour would be the best way to get around Hanoi's old quarter. I was a bit hesitant at the beginning with the amount of traffic and bicycles everywhere.

But at the end it was great experience. We used Hanoi Cyclo Tours. Friendly driver, he knew where to go and the places to visit. We made several stops along the way to take pictures, eat and shop. One night we hired another cyclo tour to go to Dong Xuan (night markets) and the cyclo driver offered to wait for us while we shopped.

Doing the cyclo tours is a great way to get around the city and is very cheap, it cost around $5 dollars but we were happy to pay a bit more since we stopped a lot of times to do other things while the driver waited for us. Hanoi Cyclo Tours is the company to use!

I was looking for something to do during my trip to Hanoi and one of my co-workers recommended Hanoi Cyclo Tours. When I first arrived to the location of my tour, I was greeted by a friendly driver. The package I chose was an hour Cyclo and 3 hours street food walking tour.

I am so glad that my co-worker recommended this tour to me. Not only is it a great price to go on the one-hour cyclo trip, but the driver was friendly and very informative. This tour also gave me the opportunity to see a bunch of different sights and take a bunch of great photographs. I had a great time visiting Hang Ma and seeing the Opera House, which is beautiful. The ride was enjoyable and the driver taught us a few Vietnam words and pointed out a few great sceneries and important spots.

After my hour cyclo tour, we went walking through the Hanoi’s Old Quarter streets, which was full of delightful places. We stopped at a cute little place where I ate traditional samples of Vietnam food. My guide took me to many different food spots and showed me how locals eat in Hanoi. Overall, this trip and tour was amazing and I am extremely glad to have met wonderful guides on this tour.

If you’re travelling to Vietnam for the first time, then you might have been a bit worried. I certainly was! I had a lot of “what if” scenarios floating around my head. Thankfully, Honoi Tours meant my stress was merely a trick played on me by my imagination. Thanks to this company, I and my family spent our time relaxing instead of worrying. Hanoi tours is accommodating, and they spoke excellent English!

I chose one of their travel packages, and it was a great choice! They picked us up from the airport, and transported us to our hotel.
The first day was filled with delicious street food, awesome sights, and ended with a fun, entertaining water puppet show, which my kids loved!

On the second day, my family enjoyed a relaxing drive to Halong Bay. Along the way we stopped for refreshments, then finished the 3 hour drive to the Bay. Once there, we enjoyed a great lunch, and spent the rest of our time on our cruise around Halong Bay (a must see!). We took pictures of the gorgeous limestone caves, and enjoyed the sun from the top deck.

On the third day we cruised the Va Gia floating village (another must see!), and kayaked the small islets.

But, the travel packages aren’t all this company offers. I was pleased to find an affordable mobility option via Hanoi Cyclo tours. I was able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this unique culture in the comfort of their relaxing cyclos. The staff was courteous, and informative. I took pictures as they guided me through the sights.

So, if you are looking for an easy, affordable, worry free trip to Vietnam, this company can make it happen for you! I look forward to using their service again in the near future!

I first heard of Hanoi Cyclic tours from a friend who recommended them to me based on her own experience when she heard that I was traveling to Hanoi. I immediately went to check them out online at www.hanoicyclotours.com. Checked their prices and they were reasonable so when I got to Hanoi, I didn't have any problem calling them.
Honestly, they really made me feel pampered all through my time in Hanoi. Their tricycles were clean and the cushions were well maintained. There was a Tour Guide, Miss Hoa, explaining important events and talking about the local life of the people. Being a person from the country here in the UK, I particularly liked the trip to a village called The Perfume Pagoda where Buddhists worship. It was lovely. I am not sure I would have been courageous enough to venture that deep out of the capital.

The driver of our tricycle(Mr Tung) is another story all together. He was such a funny chap who made our journey seem like a breeze. By traveling using the tricycle, we covered grounds faster than we would have using leg but slow enough to take some of the most amazing pictures. No matter how intelligent you are, when you go to a new city, that is when you realize how vulnerable you are, especially in trying to make yourself understood by the locals. But Mr Tung was so patient and understanding, especially when we wanted to buy some souvenir to take home.
Looking back, I now know why my friend recommended them. The company is simply amazing and know what the word hospitality means. I will gladly recommend them to any one.

This was a great company to show me around the area. Normally I don't do tours like this, and I walk around instead, but someone told me to check them out and give it a try. When you walk, it's hard to pay attention to the shops and sights of the area...you have to watch where you walk and look out for traffic and dogs and whatever else. Taking a bike ride around lets you see what the area has to offer, for cheaper than a cab and it's also easier to see what's going on too...I highly recommend them!

This was an amazing experience and a great value! Our driver Mr. Tung and the tour guide was Miss Thuy and they were both entertaining and informative. We did the street food tour because I have always wanted to sample the foods around Vietnam and this was the best opportunity. Seeing Hanoi on a guided tour was delightful. And don't worry, the guided tour was in English.

As part of an extended trip around Asia I was especially looking forward to visiting Vietnam. Full of culture, the vibrant city of Hanoi was all I was anticipating and more! As I had limited time here it was very important for me to see as much as possible could in the time that I did have. A couple of other tourists recommend Hanoi Cyclo Tours as they offered great quality tours of the area. I decided to take their 2 hour tour which explored Ho Chi Min Mausoleum and Old Quarter Hanoi. At the pick-up point we were met by Miss Thao who would be our tour guide and Mr Dzung the driver. Both were fantastic and spoke very good English which made the whole experience a lot easier for us all. During the tour I saw so much more than I would have done on foot and the views were brilliant. It was also very beneficial to feed off the local knowledge of Miss Thao and Mr Dzung who were able to point out great points of interest that I would certainly have missed wandering about myself. My favourite part of the tour was definitely our time in Hanoi’s French Quarter, something I would recommend anyone to take a look at. I really cannot wait to return. Thanks everyone!

A friend of mine suggested that we book a cyclo tour for the first day of our trip in Hanoi – probably the best advice my husband and I received! We were a bit jet lagged our first full day so it was a great way to actually see the city without having to worry too much about where we were walking and how to get there. My cyclo drive Mr Quy made sure to check in on my comfort and our tour guide Miss Thao was very knowledgeable about the area. We did the 2 hour sightseeing in the old quarter tour – we had considered the three hour option but ended up booking the two. It was only $25 per person and was such a cool way to see the city – MUCH better than a taxi!! It is a bit of an awkward sensation at first to sit in the cyclo but once you relax it is really comfortable. They will also make sure to show you local shops and can make recommendations on things to do in the area. I have some amazing photos - did I mention they will stop and point out places for you to snap pictures!

Being in Vietnam, there are very few places to actually have fun (as a westerner). Hanoi Cyclo is hands down the best way to sight see the Hanoi quarter. A Cyclo is pretty much a "bicycle taxi" and it was really safe. My family of four took the 1 hour cyclo and had a blast! Our drivers was wonderful. They took us around the city, answered all our questions, suggested places to eat and were relaxed.

Professional service, competitively priced, informational, and above all it is fun!

A definite must for all first time visitors to Hanoi - highly recommended

Being in a strange country can be both demanding and fun. My first trip to Vietnam was made extremely special by special treatment provided by my Cyclo driver, Mr Cong and the tour guide Miss Thuy. Not only were they very experienced in their jobs, they made sure that as a first time guest I was comfortable and got a comprehensive view of the city and its outstanding historic places. I had not idea that there was so much history to the city and thanks to these guys, I left with a greater appreciation of the city. This is a tour every visitor should take, especially when you have the time. I have been to many places and this was one of the tours that I will surely remember. It was comfortable, reasonably priced and most importantly Cong and Thuy were super friendly. Great job guys! Hopefully next time I have my family with me to enjoy it.

“It beats a Taxi”
5 of 5 starsReviewed April 15, 2014NEW

I travelled for the first time to Vietnam last month and heard of Hanoi Cyclo Tours from a mate of mine who was a local there. I was pretty stoked to find out that it wasn't just a short run around tour of the city which would have been ok but I kind of wanted to explore a little more. When I saw that they did the cyclo tours WITH a street food tour - WOW, did the foodie in me explode with glee.

At 45USD which comes to about say 48-49AUD, the four hour tour experience was well worth it. I don't think I have ever been so full in my life - the tour guide was just lovely and cracked jokes as we did our rounds at the restaurants and food stalls. I have to say, EGG COFFEE is just amazing! I would never have found it or would have been encouraged to try it if I hadn’t been on this tour.

It was just nice to be sitting in a cyclo, open air and feel the breeze in Ha Noi’s gradual humid weather. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour in Ha Noi. Don’t take a Taxi to wander around this beautiful city – definitely check out Hanoi Cyclo Tour and experience it in a unique and better way. Even though I’ve been on it, if I’m ever back in Ha Noi, I’ll be heading on the tour again but maybe add the water puppet show too. Feel like I might have missed out on something awesome!

Love it to bits!

Hanoi is truly one of the best tourist destinations in South East Asia, and there is nearly no better way to get around than to go on a cyclo trip! It takes you around to all sorts of interesting locations for tourists as well as to places you wouldn't normally even consider visiting. Not to mention, it is so much easier taking photos with a cyclo driver moving you around, as well as giving advice on where the best photos can be taken and places are.

Overall, thinking about it, I wish I had taken the two hour trip instead, as it would have provided me with a good amount of time to truly appreciate Hanoi's cultural and exotic significance. Alongside the kind and great service, I have to provide the cyclo tours with a 5/5 rating.

Travelled around the old quarter on a cyclo tour, so much to see and a great introdution to Hanoi. Great for sporting huge, heavy loads on mopeds.

You go around the Old Quarter at ground level and feel part of the hustle and bustle. Well worth it.

Cyclo Hanoi history and information
Cyclo Hanoi is one of the most amazing activities visted
Originally inspired by Japanese rickshaws pulled by strong arms, the trishaw made its debut in Hanoi under the French colonial period.
Explore old Quarter Hanoi by cyclo to dive in the soul of Hanoi. This "authentic" way allow visitors discover the city center in intense emotions. It's like you are in the centre of a whirlwind of movement, wrapped in a cacophony of horns and the bustle of people who trying to make their way in the middle of all this excitement.
This is another interesting point of view letting you catch scenes of daily life of city, traders, small restaurants, sidewalks… They are a feast for eyes (dazzled by all these colors), nose (suprised by the spicy flavors of Asia) and ears (to whom are not used to noise and Vietnamese language) ...
It is not easy for a particular vehicle to exist, to be honoured and loved for generations. However, a rudimentary and simple cyclo in Vietnam has done it!
It is just simple and ordinary as its appearance. No noisy sound from engines, no obscure smoke and no spending too much for commuting.
From a long time, Vietnamese people have thought of the cyclo as a familiar means of transport when going out. It is not only close-knit to Vietnamese but also strongly connected with foreigners as all of them are attracted by this unique means at first sight visiting Vietnam.
Under the sweltering sunlight, the cyclo driver bends his back over his vehicle. That heavy cycling makes sweat roll down his cheeks.
Despite the hard work, he does not want to say farewell to the old cycle for a more modern, newer vehicle. This is because the cyclo has become an indispensable part of his family.
Not only do the Vietnamese feel close to cyclo, but foreigners are also impressed by this unique vehicle. You will be surely fond of sitting on a cyclo touring around Restored Sword Lake or along the streets at sunset.
You can take a full view of Vietnam’s water and mountains into your eyes and minds.
Besides, you can traverse shady streets perfumed with the scent of Hanoi flowers or take dreamy and peaceful photos in the ancient citadel.Dont be worry ,you could drive it Hanoi Cyclo Tours
Discovery Some cities in Vietnam in a cyclo is the time for peacefully welcoming windy sunset and bright sunrise on the beach of Nha Trang or Danang or elsewhere. How pleasant it is for you to enjoy relaxation on a short urban trip.
In big cities, there are more and more cyclos on the streets. They are sometimes decorated colourfully for weddings. It is exciting, jolly and strangely unique wedding ceremony to recall the old days of plain and lovely memories.
They want to harmonize the dynamism of modern society and the sincere, peaceful life of the old days.
Vietnam is becoming more and more modern, however, the cyclo still survives, bearing in the minds of local residents, a rudimentary means of transport that has been part and parcel of their lives.
When thinking of Vietnam, tourists not only remember pho (noodle), ao dai (long dress), palm-leaf conical hats, but also a simple vehicle with three wheels, which makes you “fly” around the ancient streets in Vietnam. It is the cyclo, a surprising miracle in the eyes of foreigners!
